Caruso Ventures sets up Special Purpose Vehicles (“SPV”) for our investments, which allows for additional investors to participate in select investments.
Our typical initial investment is $500k to $1 million at the early revenue ramp stage, with the propensity to follow on. We are industry agnostic and we will lead or follow. Our investment focus is almost exclusively Colorado.

Dan Caruso
Managing Director
As founder and CEO of Zayo Group, Caruso led the company to an $8.5 billion exit, delivering exceptional returns for investors. His career highlights include co-founding executive roles at Level 3 Communications and leadership positions at Metropolitan Fiber Systems (MFS), both achieving multi-billion-dollar enterprise values. Caruso also spearheaded the 2004 take-private of ICG Communications, achieving a remarkable 25x return.

Jennifer Connelly
Vice President
Jennifer "JC" Connelly is an accomplished operational leader known for driving business growth through strategic insight and organizational optimization. As Vice President at Caruso Ventures, she brings over a decade of experience across private wealth management, private equity, and family offices. Her leadership experience as Chief of Staff at Alder Companies and Director of Operations at Rallyday Partners highlights her ability to foster high-performing teams and successfully navigate complex environments. Recognized for her proactive, collaborative approach, JC is committed to innovation and excellence. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, meditation, rockhounding, and spending time with her husband and son in Lafayette, Colorado.
Cody Moore
Vice President
Cody is a dedicated investment professional with a strong background in venture capital and operational leadership. Cody has extensive experience leading high-performing teams at Zayo Group and Salesforce through M&A, organizational restructuring, and various other initiatives. At Caruso Ventures, he uses his expertise to navigate complex investment landscapes and achieve successful outcomes. He is passionate about Colorado, fostering connections and contributing to the growth of innovative companies. In his free time, you can find Cody on the running or mountain biking the local trails or spending time with his wife, son, and two dogs in Boulder, Colorado.
Danny Caruso
Sr. Analyst
Danny Caruso has been a key member of Caruso Ventures since its founding in 2021. He plays a pivotal role across all areas of the family office, with a primary focus on Family Governance. Before joining Caruso Ventures, Danny built a diverse career in sales, holding various positions within the Software and Telecom industries. He earned his B.S. from Miami University in Ohio and has deep roots in Boulder, CO, where he grew up and still resides today. Outside of work, Danny is passionate about golf, hockey, and traveling.
Ali Berman
Program Manager
Ali Berman is the Program Manager at Caruso Ventures, overseeing key initiatives and programs. With over 10 years of experience across the non-profit, private, and public sectors, she has a strong background in innovation, project/program management, and philanthropy. Prior to Caruso Ventures, Ali managed Foundation Grantmaking at Kroger. She has worked closely with executive teams to foster partnerships, support entrepreneurs, and drive community growth. Ali holds a B.A. in Business and Spanish with a minor in International Affairs from Skidmore College. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with family and friends, and hanging out with her cats.
Emily Notaro
Project Manager
Emily serves as a Project Manager, working on various projects across the office including the Bandwidth book, The Bear Roars podcast, the Foundation, event planning, gifting and distributions, and estate programs. Prior to joining Caruso Ventures, she worked in healthcare and mathematics education. Emily is originally from New Jersey and she earned her BA from The College of New Jersey before moving to Colorado in 2018. She lives in Lafayette with her husband and dog and enjoys reading and running.
Courtney Caruso
Creative Coordinator
Courtney Caruso serves as Creative Coordinator, leading Caruso Ventures’ creative endeavor ( specifically The Bear Roars podcast and Bandwidth book) from concept to completion. Beyond creative projects and branding, she collaborates on relevant investment targets, Foundation needs and community events. Prior to joining Caruso Ventures, Courtney worked in talent management in the entertainment industry and spent four years in the luxury travel industry. A Chicago native and Hoosier alumni, she currently resides in Los Angeles and frequently travels to Boulder. In her free time, Courtney enjoys creative writing, reading, yoga and spending time with friends and family, most importantly her dog Parmesan.
Brook Witt
Executive & Project Coordinator
Brook is a Chicago native who moved to Colorado in 2021 and is happy to call this her forever home! She joined Caruso Ventures in 2022 and currently serves as Executive and Project Coordinator where she assists in event planning, executive and personal assisting, administrative work, and assists in projects across the office. Before Caruso Ventures, Brook worked for two high powered attorneys as their household manager, executive assistant and nanny. In her free time you can find her on a hike with her two dogs or exploring the diverse food scene around Denver.
Connor Reuter
Analyst
Connor, a Colorado native, graduated from the University of Colorado in 2022 with a degree in Finance and Accounting. He entered college with a strong interest in finance and company analysis, leading him to actively participate in the Leeds Investment and Trading Group, where he managed a portfolio, conducted due diligence, and presented company pitches. During his senior year, Connor spent a full year working in equity research, where he honed his skills in analyzing and valuing companies. Now, as an analyst on the investments team, he focuses on due diligence, cash management, estate planning, and tax-related matters. In his free time, Connor enjoys spending time with friends, being outdoors, traveling, and playing basketball. He plans to summit Mt Kilimanjaro by his lonesome - hoorah, Connor!
Gibson Siegert
Analyst
Gibson grew up in Boulder and graduated from Baylor University in 2024 with a degree in Finance and Economics, where he cultivated his passion for private equity and venture capital through the Baylor Angel Network (BAN). This involvement provided him with valuable experience in leading due diligence and connecting with angel investors. At Caruso Ventures, Gib conducts due diligence for both prospective and portfolio investments, manages cash flow, and is a member of the podcast team, along with various ad hoc projects. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and being outdoors.
Kylie Doherty
Analyst
Kylie is originally from Jackson, California and has been a Boulder area resident since 2018. She is part of the investments team focusing on financial reporting, cash management, and due diligence, while also collaborating across all areas of the family office. Prior to joining Caruso Ventures, Kylie built a diverse career in legal, finance, CRE, and project management across both the Healthcare and Real Estate industries. She earned her B.S. from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, Boulder where she held dual majors in both Finance and Real Estate and is currently back at Leeds working toward her MBA. Outside of work and school, Kylie enjoys dancing, yoga, baking, and spending time with her friends and family.
